Day 1, Saturday, Bucharest - Poiana Brasov
Welcome to Romania, transfer from Bucharest Airport to Poiana Brasov, (1030m-1750m resort altitude) in the heart of Transylvania, known as one of the best ski resort in Central-Eastern Europe. On the way to Poiana Brasov stop in Sinaia, the pearl of mountain resorts in Romania, home to the royal Peles Castle, the main point of attraction of the resort, one of the most beautiful royal residences in Europe. Built in 1873 the castle is an architectural mixture of the German Schooland neo-renaissance style. The castle has 160 rooms, all of them opulently decorated in leather and wood from the most valuable tree species.
To go with the fairy tale location of Poiana Brasov, we have chosen an outstanding 4* hotel, built in 2005 as a DeLuxe standard hotel. The hotel features elegant guest rooms, a modern Spa centre and the restaurants will surely rise up to your culinary expectations.
Day 2, Sunday, Poiana Brasov
The bell rings this morning for your first ski course. Transfer from the hotel to the ski slope. You'll learn how to ski or improve your skiing skills at the best ski school in the world, Ana Ski School! It is the largest ski school in Romania using only professional trained instructors.
Lunch can be served at the hotel or you can decide to enjoy the offer of the numerous and fine restaurants in Poiana Brasov.
Day 3, Monday, Poiana Brasov
Continue your ski lessons in the morning. In the afternoon it is strongly recommended that you explore this fairy tale resort. Situated at the foot of the Postavaru Mountain. It is the most sophisticated resort in Romania with a well established sports infrastructure, the largest number of ski slopes in the country covering over 20 km. After a day skiing you can also choose snowboarding as an entertaining option or an ATV ride to explore the surrounding areas.
Day 4, Tuesday, Poiana Brasov - Rasnov - Bran - Brasov - Poiana Brasov
Get acquainted with Transylvania's history by visiting 3 of its major highlights, Rasnov, Bran and Brasov. After your skiing courses enjoy a guided trip to Rasnov Citadel. Continue your journey with a visit of the famous Bran Castle, unrightfully called Dracula's Castle. Bran owes its fame both to its unique charm and to the myth Bram Stoker created around Dracula. A true fortress with walls made of stone, alabyrinth of hidden corners and secret chambers. In 1920, Queen Mary, the niece of Queen Victoria of Great Britain, turned the castle into a beautiful summer residence. Close to the castle there is a shrine set in the wall of a mountain which once sheltered the heart of Queen Marie. End your journey with the Saxon Medieval City of Brasov, a city with an outstanding medieval atmosphere. Three quarters of the city is surrounded by mountains, and it is one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe. The most famous landmark of Brasov is the Black Church, the largest gothic edifice in South-Eastern Europe.
Day 5, Wednesday, Poiana Brasov
After a morning on the ski slope explore the resort or just relax in the hotel for the rest of the day, the spa center is guaranteed to make you feel brand new. Further options include horse-drawn sleigh rides, lively bars, clubs, discos, indoor swimming pools, saunas, massages, and fitness centres.
For an authentic Romanian experience we recommend an evening spent at either "Sura Dacilor" or "Coliba Haiducilor" restaurants. To accompany the tasty traditional Romanian cuisine in both restaurants you can enjoy the lively and animated atmosphere with Romanian folk music.
Day 6, Thursday, Poiana Brasov
Fine-tune your skiing skills in the morning. For those wishing to diversify their Transylvanian experience, the resort is ideally located to explore the local area. The medieval city of Brasov is only 12 km away, perfect for shoppers, night-owls and those intending to party in a club or pub.
Day 7, Friday, Poiana Brasov
Your last Romanian ski course. By now you're probably know as the king or queen of the slope. In the afternoon you'll have time for last minute shopping, and a last taste of the delicious Romanian cuisine.
Day 8, Saturday, Poiana Brasov - Bucharest
Departure, transfer to Bucharest Airport.
